A projector that resolves every line of a reference master will resolve just as faithfully the compression artifacts of a streaming service, and a processor that decodes lossless object audio has nothing to decode when the soundtrack arrived at a fraction of its original bitrate. Three differences you can hear and see
Lossless audio
The soundtrack arrives intact, not reconstructed from a compressed stream. On a system with a real processor and real amplification this is the single largest difference in the chain, and it is audible in the first minute on dialogue and room tone long before anything explodes.
Reference video
Full bitrate, with no adaptive ladder deciding what your connection deserves tonight. Dark scenes stay clean instead of breaking into blocks, and a projector that cost as much as a car is finally being asked a real question.
A library that is yours
The films live on a server in your rack, not on someone else’s. They do not leave the catalogue, they do not need the internet to play, and they open in seconds with covers, scenes and soundtrack information already in place.
Where it sits in the room
A source is not specified on its own. It is specified against the processor, the projector and the screen it is going to feed, and against the rack it has to live in quietly.
