Lutron built the first solid-state dimmer in 1961 and has spent six decades on one problem: how a building handles light. That means two things most people think of separately — the electric light you switch on, and the daylight you let in or keep out. A room is only finished when both answer to the same system.
We specify, install and commission both sides of it. A Lutron installation is not a product you take off a shelf: it is drawn around a room’s windows, its orientation and the way it is actually used, and then set up on site. The part you end up touching every day — the keypad — is chosen last, and it matters more than the specification sheet suggests.
New — Palladiom Drapery

Pinch pleat or ripple fold, in your own fabric.
Palladiom is the line Lutron makes to be seen rather than hidden. The drapery system applies that to the track itself: an exposed, low-voltage rail in hand-finished aluminium, with the motor carried inside it. There is no pelmet to build and nothing to conceal, which is why architects tend to reach for it in rooms where the ceiling detail is already decided.

In its September 2026 announcement, Lutron presented the collection with four end-treatment options, one of them made with Swarovski® crystals. Lutron states that availability varies by country, so before anything is specified we confirm what can actually be ordered and delivered here.
What we do with it
Three parts of the same system
Light control
Dimming and tunable white across the house, with astronomical timeclocks set to Santo Domingo’s own sunrise and sunset rather than a fixed hour. Scenes are set on site, with you in the room.
Shades and drapery
Roller shades and Palladiom drapery, chosen together with the fabric. In a climate like ours the shading does two jobs at once: it protects art and interiors from UV, and it takes load off the air conditioning.
Keypads and finishes
Palladiom and Alisse keypads in matte, glass and machined metals, with backlighting that adapts to the light in the room. This is the part of the system anyone actually touches, so it is worth handling one before choosing.
About the specifications
The figures above are Lutron’s own published specifications for the configuration shown. Spans, weights and finishes change with the pleat style, the track and the drive selected, and what can be ordered in the Dominican Republic is not always what is listed elsewhere. We verify both before quoting a project, because a drapery track that cannot cross the opening is an expensive thing to discover late.
